Sri Lanka v India 2017 Fixture:
India will tour Sri Lanka this year & the first Test match will begin on 26 July. Both teams will play three Tests, five one day internationals & one T20.
Sri Lanka recently lost the ODI series against Zimbabwe & their team was under pressure. India has a good batting line-up & the players are in form as they recently beat West Indies 3-1 in five match ODI series.
It will be a do or die battle for both teams as team Sri Lanka was criticized after losing against Zimbabwe. On the other hand team India had beaten West Indies in their home. A lot happened in Indian Cricket Board after they lost to Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy Final. BCCI appointed Ravi Shastri as the India head coach, Zaheer Khan as India bowling coach & Rahul Dravid is hired as a consultant for abroad Test tours. Due to rapid changes in Indian Cricket Board, it seems like team India may not be fully prepared for the big series against Sri Lanka.
The Test series will start on 26 July, 2017 & the first Test match will be played in Galle on 26 July. The second test match will be played in Colombo on 3 August & the third & final test will be played in Kandy on 12 August, 2017.
Earlier, in 2009, India & Sri Lanka played their last series. The series comprised of three tests, five one day internationals & two T20 matches. Sri Lanka lost the ODI’s & Tests but level T20 series against India.
The Test matches will begin at 10 am (IST) in the morning. The ODIs will start at 02:30 pm & the only T20 will commence at 7 pm.
